Can a spouse in a Florida car accident recover damages for injuries caused by the other spouse?

Transcript

Yes. A spouse can recover damages when the other spouse is the at fault driver, just like a friend can recover damages when another friend is driving and is found at fault for the accident. Whoever is at fault for the accident must pay damages to the people that they hurt or have damages as a result of the negligence that they had in the accident. Therefore if a husband is driving and the wife is hurt, then the wife can recover damages from the husband or vice versa.
