Do I have to give consent to a law enforcement officer to search my car in Florida?

Transcript

In Florida, police do not have the ability to search your car unless you give consent or they obtain a search warrant from a judge. There is certain case law that now gives police more leverage to go in a car if they believe that they can smell a controlled substance, marijuana specifically or if they see something in plain view but if it’s not in plain view and they don’t have reasonable suspicion that a crime is occurring in your car, they need your consent or a search warrant.
