Legal rights start with the right to get immediate medical treatment as a result of an accident. In Florida we have what’s called PIP, or personal injury protection insurance, which allows someone to go get up to ten thousand dollars of medical treatment, no matter whose at fault in the accident. Someone can go and get treatment, and get healthy, and get better, as a result of their injuries. Other types of rights that someone has is the right to get loss wages, the right to be compensated for pain and suffering, the right to have medical bills paid. These are all rights that a client will discuss with me as a personal injury attorney when I first sit down and talk about how an accident has happened, and all of their rights as it results out of their accident.
