What are the limits on the ability to collect under an uninsured/underinsured motorist provision in

Transcript

Uninsured or under insured motorist motorist coverage comes from the client’s own insurance policy. After the at fault driver’s policy has been exhausted, then we turn to our client’s own insurance policy to see if they’ve purchased uninsured or under insured motorist coverage. Often times people do and I encourage all my clients to do so. If a client is hit by and uninsured motorist who has no insurance, we must look to our client’s own policy in order to get them compensated for their injuries. Those types of policies and those types of coverages are dependent on what the client has purchased. It can be $10,000 of coverage or $25,000 of coverage on up to a million dollars worth of coverage, it depends on what the client has purchased, but it covers when the other party doesn’t have any insurance or enough insurance.
