Will receiving a portion of my husbands pension affect child support payments in Florida?

Transcript

No. Child support is based on income, pension is based on the equitable distribution of marital property. Those two things are completely separate. Child support is based on the income of both mother and father and the parenting plan that they agree on as to the number of overnight stays the children are with both mom and dad. A pension can be marital property, like a house, like a car, like any other property that the husband and wife accumulated during their marriage and it can be split fifty fifty like any other property that they accumulated during their marriage.
