Case values are really determined upon three or four major areas. One is, how hurt is the person? How much medical treatment did they have to have to get better? How long did it take them to get better? Did they have loss wages? Did they have any pain and suffering along the way. A case is valued in those areas and an attorney is qualified to look at that and come up with a range of value, or a range that the case should settle in, in order to properly advise their client as to how much they should accept from the insurance company.
