In my Florida divorce case, can I and should I keep the house?

Transcript

In any case, the house is always a particular issue. I always recommend that my clients try to stay in the house if it all possible, sometimes it’s not. If it’s possible and if the parties are able to live under the same roof while the divorce is going on, it’s usually good for a financial reason because now they’re not paying for two different places to live. Often times, this is not possible for emotional reasons or for other reasons and they have to live separately. If that happens, it happens, and they have two separate rents and then they have to have two separate rents. If you can live in the house that is the best way and it’s the most recommended way.
