Generally speaking, yes. Until the case were to be filed in court, between the client and the insurance company it’s generally confidential. Once a lawsuit is filed, that is public knowledge and it’s in the public domain and anybody can look it up. But prior to that, as long as it’s settled before a lawsuit is filed, it’s generally a confidential settlement.
